2-Year-Old Girl Dies After Near-Drowning Accident in Central Kentucky Pool

A 2-year-old girl died at the University of Kentucky Hospital Saturday, June 19, after nearly drowning in a Burgin swimming pool just two days earlier, according to the Wave 3 news website.  Anarae Lefau was playing with other kids at a central Kentucky home when she wandered away from the other children and fell into the above-ground pool, says the Lex 18 news source.  Although doctors got the child's heart beating again at the central Kentucky hospital, she later died from accident-related injuries.  Investigators are treating the tragic death as an accident.

At the law office of Hurt, Crosbie, & May, we express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of little Anarae Lefau.  Although no charges are expected to be filed in this accident, many drowning and near-drowning accidents in central Kentucky are caused by the negligence of another party and may result in Kentucky premises liability claims.  When a serious or fatal injury occurs on residential, commercial, or industrial property as the result of negligence or hazards on the property, a Kentucky or Lexington premises liability case may be possible to help the family recover financial compensation so they can focus on concerns other than monetary matters.  For more information on central Kentucky personal injury, wrongful death, or premises liablity, contact Scott Crosbie online or by phone, and he will answer your questions for free.  866-239-0039.
