Kentucky Interstates and Highways Could Be Dangerous on New Years Eve

Party revelers on their way to New Year's Eve celebrations should beware of possibly slick roads in Lexington and on major interstate and highway roadways.  On I-75 and I-64, travelers need to be particularly careful while driving on overpasses and bridges.

The Bluegrass region from Danville to Frankfort will be experiencing unusually cold temperatures weather forecasters have been reporting.  Precipitation left on roads from Wednesday evening showers will likely freeze as a cold front moves in on Thursday evening.

So, when out hitting the New Year's parties, bring in 2010 with this reminder in mind.  Also, make sure that you have a designated driver if you are going to be drinking and be careful as there will be many drunks out on our roadways into the early morning hours.
