Lexington KY Police Look For Wrongful Death Witnesses

Lexington-Fayette County Police Seek Help From Public

Lexington police are seeking witnesses in a wrong-way crash that killed a Lexington woman last week.

On Jan. 19, between 11 and 11:30 p.m., a gray Hyundai XG350 driven by Adam T. Leake collided head-on with a car driven by Connie S. Layne, 40, of Lexington.

Layne was killed and the traffic accident has devastated the victim's family members, many from eastern Kentucky, who are seeking answers to what happened that evening.

According to media reports, Leake, 24, of Lexington, was driving his automobile with his headlights off while traveling the wrong way on the inner loop of New Circle Road, police said.  Alcohol is also believed to have been a factor in the wreck.

Lexington police ask that anyone with information about this car crash call Lexington police at (859) 258-3679.
