Drunken driving is one of Kentucky's most deadly crimes.  KYTC is teaming with law enforcement agencies statewide where checkpoints, undercover investigation and public service announcements will be utilized.  It combines high visibility enforcement with heightened publicity.  Last year, almost 5000 people in Kentucky were injured by drunk or impaired drivers on Kentucky's highways and interstates.  In fact, 20 deaths occurred over the New Years holiday weekend alone.
