KENTUCKY COAL MINING SAFETY IS IMPORTANT:
VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS EFFECTIVE WAYS TO ENSURE PROPER RIB AND ROOF CONTROLS TO
PREVENT PERSONAL INJURIES AND FATALITIES

Kentucky has had the unfortunate distinction of being one of states with the highest number of coal mining related fatalities over a nine-year period.  The Mine Safety and Health Administration, a division of the federal government, is working with coal companies and coal miners to educate and enforce stronger mine safety rules and regulations.  This video provides an illustration of the importance of proper rib and roof controls in underground coal mines.  It may be a helpful resource to those who are working in mines or have a family member who has been injured in a KY coal mine to understand the proper safety measures that should be instituted.

If you or your family member has been a victim of a mining accident in eastern Kentucky, call the law firm of Hurt, Crosbie and May for information on how to protect your rights and to determine if you are entitled to compensation for your injuries.
